Q: What is BSPP / G thread?
A: BSPP uses a 55 degree Whitworth thread form with inch-based sizing (G1/8, G1/4, etc.). Not interchangeable with metric threads.
Q: How does a BSPP plug seal?
A: Via the collar face - use a bonded seal (dowty washer) or copper washer. PTFE tape alone is not recommended for pressure sealing.
Q: Why A2-50 and not A2-70?
A: A2-50 is the DIN 910 standard grade for stainless pipe plugs. Annealed condition gives maximum corrosion resistance and ductility for sealing applications.
Q: Is SUS304 food-safe?
A: Yes. Meets EU 1935/2004 and FDA food contact requirements.
