FULLERKREG DIN 982 High Nylon Insert Lock Nuts are prevailing torque fasteners engineered for vibration-resistant applications. The high-profile (Type P) hexagon body incorporates a non-metallic nylon insert that deforms around the bolt thread upon engagement, generating consistent prevailing torque without the need for adhesives or secondary locking features. Manufactured from SUS304 austenitic stainless steel (A2), passivated and whitened for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Standard & Compliance

DIN 982 specifies metric prevailing torque hexagon nuts with a non-metallic insert — high type. The standard covers thread sizes M5 through M24 with property classes 6, 8, and 10. The high-type variant (Type P) provides greater nut height and higher prevailing torque compared to the low-type DIN 985. Although DIN 982 has been superseded by ISO 7042, the dimensional requirements are fully interchangeable.
