High Nylon Locking Nuts — DIN 982 | Zinc Plated Low Carbon Steel (Class 4)
FULLERKREG DIN 982 High Nylon Insert Lock Nuts in zinc-plated low carbon steel (Class 4) deliver reliable vibration-resistant locking at an economical cost. The high-profile (Type P) hexagon body incorporates a non-metallic nylon insert that deforms around the bolt thread upon engagement, generating consistent prevailing torque without adhesives or secondary locking features. Manufactured from Q195 low carbon steel with a trivalent chromium zinc plating (Zinc CR3), these nuts offer solid corrosion protection for general industrial and construction applications while meeting RoHS environmental compliance requirements.
Standard: DIN 982 (ref. ISO 7042) | Material: Low Carbon Steel Q195 | Surface: Zinc Plated CR3 (Trivalent Chromium) | Property Class: Class 4

Standard & Compliance
DIN 982 specifies metric prevailing torque hexagon nuts with a non-metallic insert — high type. The standard covers thread sizes M5 through M24 with property classes 4, 6, 8, and 10. Although DIN 982 has been superseded by ISO 7042, the dimensional requirements are fully interchangeable. FULLERKREG manufactures to the current ISO 7042 standard with DIN 982 cross-reference documentation available upon request. All zinc plating uses trivalent chromium (CR3) passivation in full compliance with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
