Standard Reference

These nuts are manufactured to DIN 6926 (Prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange and with non-metallic insert). For stainless steel grades, the equivalent reference is ISO 7044. DIN 6926 covers nominal diameters M5 through M20 (M22 in some editions). The prevailing torque element shape is at the discretion of the manufacturer per the standard. A4 (SUS316) stainless steel contains 16–18% Cr, 10–14% Ni, and 2–3% Mo, providing significantly enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments compared to A2 (SUS304).
